I wrote a post about Digital Art vs. Traditional Art and thinking at how things were done today compared to how we prepare projects back in the 80’s I feel so spoiled of today’s use of the computer and image editing programs. Since my background is Advertising Arts, we have to beat deadlines and go with the flow of fast paced work. So it is really a must to have a know-how of these advance medium. In a way, I feel rusty because I have set aside my brushes and paints a long time ago. Unfortunately, when I was in school, computer graphics was not taught yet. So I have to go back to school and take up CG. Because of my keen interest in knowing all these programs, it did not take so long to learn. I’m also a self-taught web designer. So here are some of the works that I have compiled for my blog.
I painted “The Geisha” as a school project a few years ago using Painter 7. I’ve seen the beauty of Japan and the people’s rich culture in 1997. Such breathtaking landscapes, very inspiring places to travel. One of the DVDs I own is “Memoirs of a Geisha.” This is one of the top in my list of favorite movies.

SOME OLD PAINTINGS

I painted this watercolor painting in college as one of our projects in Advanced Illustration I. I enjoyed this class, our Art Instructor at that time was Prof. Mario Santiago. The paintings below were also done during that time, I was between 16 to 17 years old.

The two works below are studies that I made for a creepy poster and the last one is “Guilty.”

It’s kinda bloody and gory, but that’s not real blood– it’s photoshopped graphics.

You are good!
You have been “tagged.” I was tagged two days ago and decided to participate (just this once) while I am trying to learn everything there is to know about blogging. If you choose not to participate my feelings won’t be hurt.
I just hope it sends more people to your site. They need to see what a great artist you are!

Are u by any chance a very famous or sought-out graphic designer? ‘Coz your works are truly amazing!! With the kind of artwork you produce, you should like have your own gallery or something.
I wonder, don’t you ever worry that somebody might copy your work and take credit for them? I write lots of stories but I’m always afraid of showing them on my webpages in fear of being copied or stolen.
Hope your day is just as good as mine. Keep smiling!
WOW! Your Digital Art work is amazing. I just love it. You do a great job with the coloring. Keep up the great work!
I love your work – you obviously enjoy doing this very much. Thanks for putting it out there.
Thank you for leaving a considered response to my note on my blog. Sometimes encouragement is more important than criticism. Perhaps it is about affiliation. So you are achieving this in your blog and your support of others.
When I first saw your work I thought you used an airbrush. Artists software has come a long way. I like fantasy art and it seems you have taken the subject and the medium to a special level.
Have a great day.
you’re a really good artist. the graphics are amazing. Do you use a tablet?
Yes, I use a tablet, I can’t do anything without it.
